Healthy Summer Smoothies for Kids
Kids love their smoothies, but don’t always love their veggies. Our COO, Tracy, has three kids who have that sixth sense that something “new” has been added to their smoothies. Luckily, she discovered ways to include healthy ingredients without having to see that “what’s-in-this?” face every morning.
Sneaky ingredient #1: spinach
Strawberry Banana Green Smoothie
- 1 cup spinach
- ½ cup strawberries
- 1 banana
- 1 cup almond milk (any variety)
- 1 Tablespoon chia seeds, flax seeds, hemp seeds or oats
Blend until smooth. Feel free to add ice.
Sneaky ingredient #2: avocado
Strawberry Smoothie
- 1/2 avocado
- 12 strawberries
- 1/2 banana
- 1/2 cup water or milk (any variety)
- Bonus points: a handful of leafy greens
Blend until smooth. Feel free to add ice.
